What a match!
Absolutely stunning! With another 11 minutes to go and Argentina trailing 0-2, it was a tale of sob story in our living room. And then, one of the greatest comebacks in the history of football World Cup happened. Romero initiated the juggernaut, Messi knocked in the equaliser and then Fernandez struck gold in the 92’ minute to achieve what looked impossible 15 minutes ago.
Argentina’s defence really needs to be looked at if they are to progress beyond quarter finals. For most part, their performance was lacklustre, they were not attacking enough, movements were sloppy and Egypt looked like scoring a goal every time they were in possession. But, I guess they took the victory for granted, a bit too early.
Nevertheless, last 13 minutes of the match was sheer magic. Pure Argentina vibes.
